I finished 2013 off on a very spectacular high note. I spent the weekend in La Crosse, Wisconsin doing the wedding pictures between some close family members of mine, and with that I was on my way back to GR with of course, one obligatory stay in Chicago, my favorite town in the Midwest!
Amounting the lack of heat in the city that day, I stayed relatively warm. I do regret not packing ear muffs though, and I may have had to take refuge in a Starbucks from the shops opened! Regardless, my body stayed relatively warm because one thing they teach you to do from child birth in Michigan is layers.. layers.. layers!
My favorites of this outfit are also a shameless repeat of the season. I have been getting much use out of my combat boots along with my sable-tooth scarf from H&M! We only stayed in Chicago for not even a whole day so shopping was a must, so I made my way in the morning to the shopping mecca of Chicago being Michigan Avenue, it was a shop stop well spent!
It was relaxing to visit the city and not feel like I had to visit everything as fast as I could which made for a casual stop on the way back to the Mitten, a very cold one at that! How is the weather holding up in your neck of the woods? I am one snow day with one on the way for tomorrow! Stay safe out there! xxoo
November 1st for most is an instant transition from spooky season into Christmas season leaving Thanksgiving for Americans overshadowed. October has been a busy month of juggling school, extracurriculars and design life all in one big jumble. The tenth month of the year has definitely came and gone in a flash.
One day, I was curious to see if their were any other avid bloggers from Grand Rapids that shared the same passions that I have. This quick Google search led me across Tieka of Selective Potential! She is a self proclaimed designer by day and blogger by night. Her blog features along with her design, many posts of her style and ventures around Michigan, especially emphasizing her admiration of Michigan lighthouses.
Back to brown has been the theme of this month and next month. Not exactly an aesthetic choice, rather then the hair color of the role for the show I am currently in. Either way, I am digging the chocolately brown even though I will definitely be going back to blonde at the end of this current month!
Every time I go to Starbucks, I manage to pick up their Pick Of The Week, and this was the one a few weeks back. I love the upbeat tempo. I am tempted to take a road trip based on this one song. It’s crazy how one song can be so moving.
As said previously, senior year is taking me by storm. It is hard to realize how much I am juggling to keep up with everything. I have a show coming up this month along with more photo jobs. I am ready for the holiday season! I hope you all enjoyed your Halloween! Have a good November! xxoo
Hello all, and welcome to an OVERDUE Monthly Favorites for the month of August 2013! Senior year and school has definitely shaken my aura, and I am quickly getting back on track and adjusting my routine to my utmost productivity, and happiness.
This month’s favorite person goes whole-heatedly out to my sister Annmarie! I give her such great thanks for letting Erin, and I stay with her and Brad(my brother in-law) in Pennsylvania the whole week we were there. They were both very hospitable and gave us a great taste of life in Pennsylvania and made a very enjoyable Vacation!
I may, or may not have went a little heavy on “Back To School” shopping this year while on Summer break. I always make it a mission to go to an H&M when going out of town or state because we don’t have one in GR… YET! Either way, I am also really loving sporting the blonde hair, even though I put my scalp through the wringer… haha
I discovered this song through Starbucks’ “Pick Of The WeeK” cards, and I usually pick one up when I stop by, and I really liked this one! I reccomend stopping by there every now and then if you are interested in trying new music, and getting a free download!
September is a very abrupt awakening that this year is going to be filled with a lot of challenges, adventure, and memories to be made down the line. I am anxious for this year to unfold and see where I stand a year from now. Have a good one readers!
